I know it's part of the work culture, but I don't know how they do it. I'd be useless at work if I had a hangover.

I know. I can't and won't do it. It's just too tiring to even enjoy a 6 pack on a week night so I don't do it anymore. And then I like to go back to bed until noon after having some aspirin, spam, eggs, and juice. It's really hard on your health to burn the candle at both ends.

It takes more energy to lift a full mug of beer than to hide behind a computer monitor til the boss leaves.

I told myself I wasn't going to drink anymore on weeknights and it lasted for a good month and I felt great. Then I slowly started drinking again and lately I have felt like crap. No energy and depending on how late I drank the night before I'm usually nautious until early afternoon.

I just get bored sometimes and Xbox live is more fun when you taunt little kids when you're tipsy. I should probably slow it down a bit.

I will never understand why some people stay out drinking until the early morning hours, knowing full well that they have to be at work in a few more hours. I have worked with teachers who did this. Not only do I find it unprofessional and disrespectful to the employer and the students, I just don't understand why someone would knowingly put themselves through such misery. Why, why, why would you knowingly drink yourself into a stupor knowing what will follow the next morning??!!

I think so too, but it's also part of the culture. Office workers, public school teachers, and probably everyone else does it.
