Man if the States ever found out about this stuff, someone would be a very rich man indeed.

I know. I don't drink soda often (personal preference), but when I do, I almost always reach for the Milkis. With its unique blend of cider and creamy texture, it's the new feeling of soda beverage (tm). Smile

Milkis AKA cream soda

Used to buy it in NZ growing up.

It hasn't exactly been taking the US by storm, but it's been available there for years. My sister in law was buying and drinking it there in 2006. But I agree, it ain't bad. It's like a vanilla ice cream and vanilla float with the vanilla all melted into it.

I tried to find this because of this post. Does it say Milkis, or is it in Korean?

It is the worst tasting thing I've had since I got here. Minus Soju, but I don't count that as a 'thing', since it doesn't follow a single law of physics that could explain why it is so bad, and therefore it doesn't actually exist.

Soju has no flavor... :/ Also, physics does not make judgment calls on what is good or bad. It is science. Wonderful, sexy science.

Also, Milkis is labeled as such in Roman (Romanji? Western?) letters and is available in every convenience mart and grocery store I have been in. Please to enjoy!

It is pretty bad. I usually drink a soda if I want something refreshing. Milkis is about as refreshing on a hot day as, well, milk is.

Being a good Kiwi bloke I find milk quite refreshing. Micheal Jones thought so too. It is a fact.

So, if you like milk, you will probably like Milkis.

If you were bought up on kim-che, I am sure there is a soda out there for you (but I shudder to think).

I vote for WEIRD. Milkis, however, does taste great with soju. Alone it's too weird but with soju it's good. Who knew.

But it's not as bad as the cola product "McCols" or whatever it's called. Looks like coke? Wow, that stuff is...wek

People who claim soju has no flavour are either extremely old and since lost their taste senses, had their tongue removed in 'nam, or simply been drinking it too long. It's like a terrible vodka.

However, I'm willing to try mixing milkis with soju, perhaps they will cancel each other out. I'll report back when I do it.

I never did develop a liking for soju. To me it tastes like really bad vodka mixed with nail polish remover. Though it is good for polishing metal and getting lip gloss out of the laundry.

If Milkis is the same thing as cream soda, I like it. Smile

Have you ever wondered what happens to the not fully finished bottles of soju, at your local restaurant? It goes in a spray bottle, to be used later as a disinfectant for the tables.
