It all looks very nice......but if there's not enough parking then families, who need to travel by car, won't be able to enjoy it.
Like Seoul Zoo/Grand Park at Gwacheon........I spent almost about an hour in the line up to the car park there on a Saturday not long ago. With a 10 month old baby going nuts in the back seat!! We gave up. Turned around and went home.
Parking is a big problem at most leisure venues in Korea on the weekends. It makes taking your family out to do something nice on the weekend very frustrating.
But I do appreciate how they're improving the riversides in Seoul. Good effort. |

the subway station with elevator is right in the middle of it.
depending on where you live access should be fine with a carriage.
if it is a really nice day and you don't mind a few minutes walk you could park at Starcity. It is about..hmm.. a 15 minute walk. there is underground parking there. You could exit and walk straight to the park, but trying to drive into the park would be madness. Its not a bad walk there. I live on the other side of the e-mart, so I walked it both directions. It isn't a high density walking area, so ample wide sidewalks for a leisurely stroll down. |

Why would you drive a car in Korean cities? They are great for getting out and about in the country, but in the city a big car is a handicap. I wouldn't do it, i'd take the subway. It's not like taking public transit is associated with being poor like it is back home. It just makes sense to take the train for only 1,200 won per person each way rather than sitting in heavy traffic and then wondering why it takes you an hour to find parking. Trying to make a statement that you are rich, because you have a big fancy SUV or Mercedes car will only make you a fool to lose time and money. |

Married? Kids?
Try telling a Korean wife that you want to take a 10 month old baby, and the approx 4 tons of equipment they seem to need, on the subway!!
Getting around on public transport might be easy for young and single people.........it becomes very different when you are responsible for the very young and the very old. |

What kind of food shops? I didn't see any restaurants in the photos - however, it seems like a good place to go to a restaurant with a good view. |

| Yep, elmo and Itaewonguy do have valid points. I do see lots of women packing babies around on their backs who seem to be of modest means, but also many people have serious money coming in so they can afford to drive. When you are higher income, you have the money to buy 4 tons of equipment you don't need and the SUV to haul it. There are just too many cars and large SUV's in Korea simply, because there is lots of new money blinging in. I think the new developments are cool, but environment and living conditions need more attention. How cool is it too see what a new city looks like? I've never seen anything new in America as pretty much they built it before I was born and stopped. Go Korea, Japan, and China! It's your century. |

The big odd shape building has a snack bar, restaurant and cafe on 3 different floors
they also have those new mini-stop food shops by the river (instead of those little shops that used to be everywhere) those also have cafes in the top. |
