Just got a new position teaching at an elementary school in Seongnam to begin in June!

I was wondering what the cost of living is like in Seongnam? (I taught in a country town previously)

What are some cool places to hang out at?

How long does it take to get to Seoul from Seongnam?

What are the grocery stores/supermarkets in the area?

Pass along any information you can think of! I truly appreciate it!

You'll really need to say which part of Seongnam City you'll be in. The northern part of Seongnam city and the southern part (bundang) are two different worlds.

Laughing

There were a few threads recently about 'old' Seongnam. It's a very working class area. A bit rough, but don't be deterred. I lived there very happily for a year back in 2000-2001....It's a lot of fun. A real vibrant urban environment.

Just type 'seongnam' or 'sungnam' into the search engine.
