I've been using Mr. Bean video's in class to try to stimulate conversation.
The problem is I tried the activities on EFL 2.O and they flopped. One of the problems is I'm still teaching the big classes.

You will need to tailor them to your own classes. I think I know the lesson you are talking about. It is the making a sandwich one? It worked Ok for me in a camp class of 12 or so students.

I usually just play it and stop periodically to ask questions and explain stuff. I use the kid on a plane one quite often.

I use them for Grade 5, Lesson 11 - What are you doing

The kids watch a 5 minute clip ( swimming pool, sandwich, horror movie, Christmas Turkey, Driving while getting changed work best, hospital)

The kids watch and make notes for all the things Bean is doing ( he is walking, he is jumping in the water.

They view the clip, then have 2 minutes to polish off sentences. The students come up ( one from each team ) and basically do an elimination competition. They keep speaking sentences that Bean was doing until they either REPEAT another student, or have no sentence to say. Winer gets the reward, play again
