My car will arrive soon but I was wondering what is the general attitude towards non-Korean flashy sport cars?
...and motorcycles?
I shipped both of my toys out here and have heard a lot of stories from the military side about vandalism. Not sure if they are just stories or not.
I'm not too concerned about traffic. I learned how to drive in NYC and lived on Oahu for over three years. |

Are you in the military?
I've read how it's otherwise prohibitively expensive to bring one's cars to Korea. Man, if I could bring a car into Korea cheaply, I'd go out and buy a Corvette Grand Sport immediately. It's a bit of a poser car, but it looks so bad ass in black.
How flashy are we talking about?
I would be most afraid of drunk adjosshis and careless drivers. Vandalism would be way, way down on my list in Korea. Hell, the only time I've ever heard of any vandalism is by fellow waegooks.
There are some flashy cars in Korea. Maseratti, 911s, I even saw a couple of Rolls-Royces. And of course, high-end BMW, MB, and Audi are all over the place. I don't see many sports cars though. |

Vandalism is picking up here. I've seen a lot of graffiti lately. Yep, Korean is becoming more westernized  . And if you don't think that your vehicle will be targeted for being a foreigner, haha...well, you'll be in for a rude surprise one morning here. |

Well, it's a Nissan 370Z. There are a few already in Seoul but not many.
The bike is a Harley Night Rod Special.
I was just concerned because that's one of the few things that sets me of. When people mess with my hard earned stuff.
Oh well, I guess that is what insurance is for. |

Depends where you live. In my neighborhood a Nissan 370Z wouldn't give you a second look. BMW, Mercedes, Audi, and Porsche are pretty common place. I'm even seeing quite a few Maserati's. |

Wait, you can get insurance for your bike? I mean insurance that will cover vandalism and theft? (Not just liability) |

| Confirmed thru USAA that any damages including vandalism would be covered for both my car and bike. |

You'll be fine...I've seen quite a few Harley's out here. Older Koreans especially seem to like them(young guys like crotch rockets). Bikes bigger than 250cc are rare here, so expect to get alot of props....robbery is usually limited to 125cc and under...same goes for vandalism. Maybe near Itaewon....that area is kinda shady....
Your car will turn a few heads....however, all the rich koreans drive BMWs and Mercedes....even korean women swoon about car talk if it involves BMW.
Traffic is nowhere as bad as the stories you hear....I drive a motorcycle here and the majority of crazy driving stories come from dudes with no ride in Korea. Keep your eyes peeled and drive however you want....traffic laws are never enforced which makes motorcycle riding a blast....In the countryside, your gonna hit top speed plenty of times with no police interference 
On the negative side, most korean girls hate bikes...total opposite response compared to back home....a few westenized ones like motorcycles, most associate motorcycles with poverty. |

Honestly, the traffic in Hawaii seems worst. I always expect the worst while on the rode and so far it has been pretty good while riding my bicycle back and forth to work. Hawaii had it's fair share of idiots on the road.
The VROD is a fast bike Almost too fast for it's brakes, size and weight.
