Hey everyone, so this is the most difficulty I've had in finding something I want yet in Seoul.
I cannot, for the life of me, find small outdoor folding tables and plastic stackable chairs. Every single Gs25, Familymart, Buy the Way, and numerous restaurants and food stalls have them in abundance...but I cannot locate the source.
I've tried Emart, and Homeplus, and wandered all around Sadang looking for a store that had them. No luck.
Does anyone know where I can find outdoor folding tables (round, plastic top, with folding metal legs) and stackable plastic outdoor chairs? The roof on my apartment building is just BEGGING to have a place to eat/drink/relax. |

Go to a store that sells pots and pans .
They are usually large stores that have all kinds of kitchen
items outside as well as inside.
They will also stock coolers(ice boxes), and
will also have plastic tables as well as plastic chairs.
I got mine a few years ago from one of these stores .
I think around 20~25,000 won for the table, and about 4,000 won
per stool type chair (no back).
The ones with backs are about 10,000won a piece.
If you can't find this kind of store in your neighborhood,
although almost every one has one.
Then go to a discount store , they're called 1000won stores.
1000 won 백화점. |

There's an area in Dongdaemun that sells what you're looking for and who generally sell to the pojung restaurants. You'll have to be a good negotiator but my girlfriend recently got 6 chairs, a table and a giant umbrella for less than 100,000 won.
My only directions is that the area is nearer Sindang Station than Dongdaemun and it's in the back alleys. You may have to explore a bit. You'll also have to get it home on your own. |

I got mine from a hardware store. The ones that sell brooms, ladders, hammers and stuff. It's a decent size shop and I was able to score the 7-11 set with an umbrella. I had to ask the ajumma though. They weren't on display out front or anything like that. |
