We're a few weeks away from some new interviews. I'm teaching 6 hours a day of winter school classes. The prep and paperwork of grading between 100 and 150 papers per week is killing me at the moment. Gawd, I hate writing courses!
Luckily, I'll be on full winter vacation after it's all finished! |

Hey now, I don't allow my students to do "extra credit!"
I've got an audio clip of a student that'll make you crap your pants in laughter, though. |

| Anyone know where I can post an audio clip (not sure I want to the attention that Youtube might bring)? Not sure I want it on my site, either... |

He won't always be coherent, but he's been in Korea for nearly 20 years....fought in Vietnam, has a PhD in Chemistry, and was involved in making films in Hollywood. Certainly a colorful character to say the least.
Keeping him on topic might be a challenge But certainly a colorful history. |

Winter school = winter camp? http://forums.eslcafe.com/korea/viewtopic.php?t=143552
Free Audio file hosting..just a quick google http://www.zshare.net/
I listened to the Korvia interview last night, enjoyable and well done. I would like to hear a followup w/Joyce down the road as well as another one w/TB to get the lowdown across the street. Also loved the 'ticket out of hagwon hell' line and accompanying music. The whole thing has a very 80's feel...which makes me feel young again + the conversation is informative and entertaining. Keep up the good work, thumbs up |

Seconded. I met him some years ago. Nice guy, but he does tend to wander in conversation. Still, he has an interesting outlook on life (as I recall).
Haven't seen him here on Dave's for a while. He's still around, huh? |

Actually this guy is a genuine Korean who lives and studies in Canada. It's notable that he writes substantially better than most posters on this site despite it being his second language. |
