What stores ship to Korea?

These are the ones I know of:
Shopbop
Freshpair
Strawberrynet
Amazon but only some products

I did a search and couldn't find anything. If such a discussion has been done, please let me know.

Australian based surfwear, and all kinds of clothes and shoes. Pretty quick delivery, too.

For any gym monkeys out there, netrition will ship to Korea. Just click past their warning about Korea having implemented greatly restrictive import laws. And after you pay for shipping, you'll only have one arm and leg left to work out... Shocked

JCPenney and Eddie Bauer ship to Korea. Victoria's Secret ships to Korea also, but not sure how helpful that will be if you are a guy.

Saks, Bloomingdales and Macys will but this government will make any purchase price soar with their import taxes.

Is there a way not to get screwed with import taxes? It is not my fault that I am too tall so can they just make exceptions for things I cannot possibly buy here? Is there a tall people tax exemption?

Don't say Itaewon. The only things there worth getting are at about a 200% markup.

Don't ship more than $100 worth of products at a time or you will be paying import taxes.

For kids, I believe Gymboree will also ship to Korea.
Some ebay sellers will ship to Korea but the shipping prices vary HUGELY.

You can use a mail-forwarding service like Bongo to mail-forward items from anywhere, but the mail costs are quite pricey. However, they arrive in 3 days usually. Even if you use a mail-forwarding service you should pay attention to what will cost you import taxes.

Thanks for the info. My family's an unsatisfactory but free forwarding service.

Is there some way to hide it to avoid this import tax like maybe taking the things out of the package and just say they're sending some used things? Is that illegal or just frowned upon? How much is this tax?

In response to the last post, I usually find it works best to have the sender mark the package as a "gift" and write the value of the goods much lower than the actual value. Also, if it is clothing, have the sender take off all the tags and out of the boxes/packaging etc...

You can have things shipped to a friend or family member back home and ask them to remove the tags and repackage everything before sending it to you. I think the total estimated value of the contents has to be under $100 USD to avoid import tax. I know it is illegal for a catalog order company to remove tags before shipping overseas. I guess it would also technically be illegal to have things shipped to family and forwarded to you to avoid import tax, but with no tags or packaging, I would think it would be unlikely for anyone to find out that is what you did. If I am purchasing clothes to wear and not to resell them, I don't see why I would need to pay additional tax on them. If I bought the clothes and just brought them in my suitcase, no one would know the difference.

American Eagle ships to most places including Korea...
their delivery charge was moderate ($50 for 1 week delivery) and NO IMPORT TAX...
unlike Victoria's Secret that stung me with a $60 delivery charge plus 40 000 won import tax..
ouch!!!
