If you're running Firefox on Windows, use Pale Moon instead: http://www.palemoon.org/
It's a project optimizing Firefox for Windows. Started using it today, and it certainly seems faster. |

I dislike Chrome.
Also, a few of my Chrome friends found this to be even faster. |

| This looks interesting but I'm really worried about trying it. I'm afraid that I may loose all or some of my add-ons and fixes. Also, I've tried some of these "specialized" builds before and they have been prone to crashing and hard to clean up after an uninstall. |

So far it's been stable for me. Also, users at the forum where I first heard of it claim they haven't had any crashes since they started using it.
The only thing you have to make sure about is if you choose to uninstall either FireFox or Pale Moon, uncheck the box which asks if you want to delete profiles, add-ons, bookmarks, etc. They are linked until you uncheck that box.
Also, security-wise, I'm going to assume that if they're removing features useless to Windows, it can only be more secure. |
