Hi there people,


Well from my last post that I wrote down about having problems with my visa. I figured out that I can do DJ work here in Korea or work for a Korean company.

I'm currently in Daejeon willing to move to Busan.
Does anyone know of any DJ jobs out there or managing jobs or something?????

Please let me know.

I just need any jobs right now and I everywhere I look its a dead End.

Help needed!!!

Just wondering, what does a DJ do?

At parties I don't make a playlist. I have a general idea of the songs I wanna play and I pick and choose songs based on what people want to hear. When the party picks up I throw on some booty music. Can't go wrong with late 90's hip hop. As the night is winding down and people are completely hammered, I'll throw on some old school favorites because people love to sing when they are drunk.

Does that make me a DJ? I don't do any fancy mixes, or anything like that. I just play what people want to hear.

You were given answers. You cannot get a visa to be a DJ.

From your last thread, you said your last employer was having problems, not you. So, how does that impact on your ability to get hired by another school?

I had found out that I can get an E6/7/9 visa for working at a club or so.

If you read my last thread properly it would explain the problem I had with my university.

Now, I'm looking for any sort of job to help me out to stay in Korea.

As I understand, a number of foreign DJs who have come here performed illegally without a visa.

When I applied to the immigration to get my E2 visa. They wanted something else more from the university(proof). So I got a letter sent.sealed and stamped that I attended.

They then sent me to the education board in Korea to prove the legitimacy of my university. They came back to me saying that my university is not accredited anymore and that they can not give me m E2 visa.

Now, that was in Seoul. Can I apply in a different state in Korea?
Also, I am from a third world country. South Africa.

Whats your advice ?

Hard to believe they are not allowing you to get a NEW(different) job, based on the fact that your last job was not an accredited university.

If you were trying to renew at the same school, it makes sense. But your last uni's integrity has nothing to do with a new job.

Are you sure you have the facts straight? Because teaching is pretty well all you're going to be able to do here.

I don't think you understand.

I graduated from a university that lost accreditation.
I have all transcripts,criminal background..etc.

I can't get an E2 visa because I graduated from a university that lost accreditation. So they say. So now I don't know what do. I've contacted the university and they had nothing to say in return.

From what I have read he/she means the uni they graduated from lost accredidation (sp) not the uni they worked at.
Interesting if that is the case. Does this mean if the uni I graduated from closes or loses its accred, then immi will not grant me an E2?

You are right.

Funny we both posted at the same time.

But your right. If you uni closes or something or even loses accreditation they won't give you an E2 visa again.

What to do now????
