I may be in Korea in a couple weeks.
Please message me your passport number so I can verify your status. After which I would like to see your iPad.
I do NOT trust just sending you money and then hoping you will ship it. |

This is exactly the kind of message that has turned out to be a scam in the past. Don't give anyone your money until they give you the item! Many many sad campers on htis forum due to trusting scam artists like KSG, which is another three character name. Beware. |

although it's nice to warn posters about the pitfalls of buying and selling stuff online, I think it's getting a bit rediculous to post on peoples threads saying they could be scamming us.
The O.P, although I have never had any dealings with him in the past, is a long established user on these forums.
He has not asked to receive money up front for the items. I'm not sure if that was his intention, perhaps he just wants to know who wnats one and he will bring it back through for them and sell it on to them for a small profit for himself.
There is a warning thread everyone should read before purchasing, if they don't read it and get scammed (especially after recent events) then they should just stop buying things online cos they are a soft target. |

It's one thing to issue a general warning about scams...it's another thing to play Dave's ESL vigilante and make blanket assumptions about people based on virtually nothing. |

No one is making a blanket assumption. I am asking for seller's info before I am willing to put down a deposit on it.
It's calling using common sense. |

You are either being sarcastic, or have never been to a bar. The shock game is f-ing awesome, but we're downsizing our things as we prepare to leave Korea, retire from teaching forever, and move on to much greener pastures...and like I said in the for-sale post, I don't really drink much these days.
To answer your question...yes, I did successfully sell the game and it's all boxed up and ready to be sent out tomorrow afternoon. If you're following my online garage sale so closely you should pick yourself up a box full of awesome EFL reference books for 80,000 won including shipping. Hell, for you I'll take 75! Bwahahaha! |

Just being sarcastic, I actually have that game at home (in ireland) but it's in black. They are great fun and I was considering taking it over here this time round and having ultimate grammar games with the kids in class. |

Well said-exactly what I was thinking. Obviously if there's the suggestion or possibility of a scam, it's a good idea to warn others, but this person said nothing about wanting or selling an iPad. They seemed to be unimpressed with the iPad. Thanks for posting.
