Does anyone have any tips for phone interviews.

My last one didn't seem to go very well (!) and I've started to think that Korean employers like to hear different things to your typical employer back home...

The questions were something like:
How do you teach low level English students?
What do you do if students misbehave?
And what do you do if you have a prob with co-teachers?

Any suggestions would be appreciated!

If you are talking to the employer... skip the questions, they won't tell you anything productive anyway. The only question to ask is for the foreign teacher contact info.

If you are talking to the foreign teacher, get information to contact them when the boss is NOT listening over their shoulder.

Contact them in private and ask your questions.

My suggestion is to speak clearly and slowly. The phone interview I had was around 5 minutes long and they asked contact information and a few questions related to teaching.

I felt that the answers were important but not as much as how well I spoke English.

Yeah, I got the feeling they don't care too much about WHAT you say, more how you say it. The responses I got seemed a bit automated. I wondered if I was even talking to a fellow human being.
