182 km in total via Gimpo, Goyang, Paju and Yeonchoen

With the opening of the DMZ Trekking Course, visitors can walk along the northern-most region of Korea enjoying picturesque sceneries such as Jusangjeolli (polygonal stone pillars) and visiting cultural and historical sites. It is even possible to see North Korean land from here.

The DMZ Trekking Course, created by Gyeonggi Provincial Government, consists of 12 different courses in total, each of which is 15km in length and takes about 4-5 hours to finish. The trekking course begins at Hamsang Park at the Daemyeong Port and goes from Gimpo-si, to Goyang-si, to Paju-si, and finishes at the Sintan-ri Train Station, where the end of the tracks are marked with a sign reading, The Iron Horse Wants to Run!

Near the course are the Munsusanseong Fortress and the Unification Observatory from which visitors can look over and see the land of North Korea. The sight of the barbed-wire fences and military camps to the north give you a sobering reminder of the real-life tensions between the North and the South. Here you may also visit a range of cultural and historical sites such as Deokpojin, the Hangjusanseong Fortress, Hwaseokjeong, and the Horogoruseong Fortress.

In order to minimize the trekking programs effects on the environment, the DMZ Trekking Course was designed using pre-existing paths. Coordinators also took measures to use the smallest number of signposts possible, while still making sure the orange-and-blue, trail-marking ribbons were abundant enough for travelers to easily find their way.

The Trekking Course is open 24/7 and is free of charge. The Gyeonggi-do government has created a blog titled Walking Paths in Gyeonggi-do, that provides visitors with necessary travel information about walking paths, transportation, cultural & historic sites, and nearby tourist attractions. The site is also a forum for people to share their feedback about the course so that officials can make any needed adjustments. Furthermore, in partnership with Incheon Municipal Government and Gangwon Provincial Government, Gyeonggi Provincial Government plans to expand its trekking course to include a walking road that goes all the way from west to east, winding throughout the central region of the nation.

So how would you go about doing this? The article seems kinda short on relevant details like, say, a map. Would I just go to Imjingak station and head out from there?
