1997 Kia Avella
78,500KM (low mileage--we've owned it for 15 months...it was at 72,500 when we bought it)
Automatic
5 doors
Power windows, locks, and mirrors
Timing belt was replaced in December (you have 2-3 years on this before you need to replace it--comes with papers)
Tires were also replaced in December at Costco
A/C and heat work great
Has radio and tape deck
Includes GPS/DMB navigation system (plays MP3s, videos, pictures, and also DMB TV--like taxis!)
"Atlas of Korea" book is free (50,000W value)
We've paid about 420,000W per year for insurance
Our car is clean, it has been serviced, and like we've said the timing belt and the tires are only five months old. Everything works properly! We have a baby boy, so we made sure to keep our car in tip-top shape. There's no way we'd risk driving around this country with an old timing belt or worn tires.
All seat belts are in place, and cosmetically the car looks great! The only cosmetic flaw is a small crack in the rear bumper.
It's a good sized car that sits between an Atoz/Matiz and a Sedan...it's safer than the Atoz/Matiz, and easier to park than a sedan. A great family car!
Originally paid 1,650,000W, and have put in over 700,000W in repairs--new tires, new timing belt, oil changes, new muffler (major replacements include papers--timing belt and tires).
For comparison's sake...you can pick up a used Daewoo Prince for 1,100,000W that has an old timing belt, and worn tires near the Yongsan Garrison or @ Encar...(and if you know anything about Encar--you'll know why some of those prices are too good to be true)....
This is the real deal...we're leaving Korea, and are selling our car, as well as other things...

Thanks. They are neat cars...not the sexiest in the world, but certainly very reliable.
Since you can't PM, feel free to send us a text or call us. We're busy in the morning...but come 2pm, we're free (at least till 5pm). |
