I liked the "Bill"one, which was later re-done as "The Ammendment Song" in The Simpsons. |

I like the Animaniac songs for similar stuff..... esp. when we play the world country name song, and I play the clip the first time. the kids clamor for it again, and then I start it, then stop half way through and point to one table and say, "Your turn to sing!"

So far I've used quite a few I think the best one is Interjections. It contains lots of simple sentences with punctuation. This one would be followed by prepositions. This one has lots of pictures describing location with words. Conjunctions is also very clever. |

School house rock is pretty sweet. I've only shown the preposition one to my 6th graders, and I did that knowing that they wouldnt understand most of it.
High school aged kids should get a kick out of it. Gotta love conjunction junction, and lolly lolly lolly get your adverbs here. |

Thanks for the replies.
I'm planning on trying it out today and hope its goes well. I did, however, try that Animaniacs World Nations vid and the kids loved it. Especially when a few picked out Korea. KOREA! *applaud* |

I have and use all their stuff but mostly with higher level young/teen learners. Otherwise, not much is comprehensible except for the sterling - Mr. Morton is the subject of the sentence (the rap version). Unfortunately not available anymore but I did save a copy and it is on EFL Classroom 2.0. Definitely a top video for use in language teaching.

But they were really innovative and I would love if this kind of methodology had a renaissance. Nice interviews about the origins of School House rock can be found online too.
