so I want to make some hummus and would like to know if they sell already made tahini or perhaps sesame seeds at the arab markets by the mosque.. Im pretty much guessing they do, but still dont want to venture all the way into itaewon and then find out they dont..
or better yet.. anyone ever seen them at homeplus or emart?

Sesame seeds? You're looking for sesame seeds? Yes, you can get them almost anywhere.
Tahini, try Itaewon at the Middle Eastern markets. |

Itaewonguy, you have been here a long time, right? Don't you know where to find sesame seeds? They are literally at every store that sells food. |

Yeah, I'm pretty sure tahini calls for unroasted sesame seeds, which gives it its distinct flavour and they're a tad harder to find. I'm in Busan and the frozen tahini containers I buy from Asian grocery stores are made from roasted seeds. So I guess buy some roasted and use a coffee grinder. As a last resort, use peanut butter. |

Guess you're no longer really itaewonguy Yes, they sell tahini in at least on of those places (cant remember which). I do remember it was labeled "sesame oil', not tahini, so be careful. Unroasted sesame seeds are in the grocery store |
