I am looking to find some tomatilos, not jared or canned(although I'd still like to know where to get them), but fresh ones. If anyone out there has a lead, a hunch or rumor please let me know. Help find these beauties and I'll send you a bottle of the most delicious chipotle sauce you have and will ever eat.
Thanks,
Joe |

Tomatillos... There is one in the Gangnam area and one near Jonggak Station that I know off.
in all seriousness tho, other than Itaewon foreign market or a Homeplus/Lotte, the probably arnt that common. I was happy that I found authentic Pace Picante |

I was going to try growing them too. I read that they will grow almost anywhere, as they are basically a weed. Huffdaddy, you got seeds? Or do you know where to score some? My wife's family has a farm and I guess I could grow A-LOT of em' there. I need a lot of them for the bar I cook at. Also I plan on opening my own joint soon, pre-colombian: authentic Mexican and Central American cuisine. No burritos here! Enchiladas, okay!lol
Thanks for the replies! |

You are a terrorist against the ecosystem. I hope you enjoy your little green tomato while wreaking havoc on nature. |

LOL! BIO-terrorist!-Yeah,what you say that's true. Although I think you are being an alarmist. I'll stick to growing on my balcony. Even though there are hundreds of non-indigenous plants growing in this country alone. I'm sure if I consulted the agriculture department I'd be good to go. Then I'll send you a basket of them, okay buddy!!? |

Tomatillos aren't really tomatoes.
And yes, I have seeds. This year I'm growing tomatillos, 5 or 6 varieties of peppers (including ghost peppers), 5 varieties of tomatoes, real sweet corn, okra, green beans, and some other stuff. |
