Probably hanlingo.

Conversation exchange isn't bad

If you really want language exchange specifically state it in your profile (and that you AREN'T looking for a gf/bf). Bear in mind that you WILL get some girls who may think of it as a kind of date, so state at the beginning what are the format and terms of the exchange. Keep in mind that you'll also get a bunch of nerdy college boys who you might find very boring for conversation practice.

I would say at least 75% of westerners are looking for that... or something which may lead to that. On that one site, there's like... 5x the number of western guys as opposed to western gals. LOL~

You can also go to English Cafes. Most universities run them. At universities, it's usually a regular cafe on campus that become "English only" for specific hours on specific days. They'll usually have games, karaoke, or other activities. Mainly it's the local students who go to practice, but their happy for foreigners to come along.

There are also private language cafe's (in Seoul at least). Most of these have an entrance fee, but it's not really much more than the cost of a coffee or two (and free coffee is included). There they have activities for people to practice languages. Most often it's Koreans practicing English, but you can also practice Korean with someone. Best to ask them in advance if/when you could come for practicing Korean.

ldh2222 is probably quite right about why most people use the language exchange websites (both foreigners and koreans). That's why i suggested that you make it very clear on your profile (unless you want more than just language exchange).

I've been told that LiveMocha is really good, but I haven't used it myself.

Does anyone know if the University of Incheon in Songdo has one of these?

Pop in and ask. I'm sure that if you ask where the English department is, you'll find someone who can tell you if they have an "english cafe" there.

If they don't, there are two universities in Bucheon that have "english cafe". Bucheon University (within 15 minutes walk from Bucheon Univ. Station) and the Catholic University (about 15 minutes from Yeokgok Station).

English cafe at Catholic Univ.

If you want to go to a private one, there's a nice one called i-Friends but it's in Shinchon (the university district in Seoul). It's near Sinchon/Shinchon station (on Line 2) though so it's not a big problem to get there if you have the time. It's a nice place and they organise a lot of activities.

But I wouldn't be surprised if there's an English cafe at a local university in Incheon.
