Does this actually exist?

Yes'm. Ramen jiro is somewhat of a revolutionary dish in the food world. Some people claim it isn't even ramen, it's simply jiro. The chain (chain sort of has a negative connotation... each location is run by a disciple of Takumi Yamada, the man behind ramen jiro. These disciples worked at the original ramen jiro location in Mita, Tokyo) goes against typical ramen-ya conventions the food it serves is just m'f'in superb. Here are some links for further readin'...

But first: the whole ninniku mashi mashi (literally: garlic a lot a lot) buta double (literally: pig double--that's right, NOT pork, but PIG) thing is what you say to the guys behind the counter so they know what to top your bowl with.

Hope I've stirred some interest in some people.

Japanese ramen: in my opinion, one of the world's perfect mediums of expression (I'm a bit dramatic when it comes to food).

Thanks for the information.

Your dramaticism is proportional to salt content... obviously. Cool (jk)

I'd start out with a fine bowl of the good stuff (surely not allowed, but this is a dream right?!)

After I felt like I was in a proper place I'd snap my fingers and a bottle of Maker's Mark would appear along side 6 Guinness Draught bottles. A really good bottle of Cab/Sav too

- Steamed Green Beans
- A bushel of Maine blueberries
- Bacon wrapped fillet Mignon
- Paper thin fried catfish from Mindendorf's outside New Orleans
- Some crunchy tacos with guacamole, melted cheese, pork, salsa, and hot sauce
- Louisiana Licker wings from Quaker Steak and Lube
- The bacon bleu burger from Tessaro's in Pittsburgh
- Some Filipino pig roast (I'd pretty much only eat a big of the skin and the cheek)
- A bowl of spicy Pho
- A hearty piece of my mom's Lasagna
Then dessert!
- a nice French Press of premier coffee
- a big slice of my dad's pecan pie
- Reese's Peanut Butter Cups
- Some Belgian truffles
- A hot fudge sundae
- ended with some crispy bacon and a big shot of absinthe.
Shocked

To start it off, I'd have some pesto stuffed matsutake mushrooms. I'd then move on to a small portion of corned beef hash. Next up would be a couple crab enchiladas with mole sauce. If I'm not too stuffed by then, I'll have rack of lamb with ratatouille.

I'll drink a nice bottle of Brooklyn Summer Ale or a nice Hefeweizen.

A "california" burrito (the kind with steak and french fries in it), an achiote chicken quesadilla, two grilled fish tacos: one mahi mahi and one wahoo, and a few bottles of Alesmith IPA.
