|
|
I will be taking my first trip on the KTX train tomorrow and will be departing from Gwangmyeong. I have been hearing mixed answers from coworkers on how to get to KTX from the subway.
Here's my plan from Ansan:
- Line 4 to Geumjong
- Transfer to Line 1
- Line 1 to Guemcheon-gu Office
- Transfer to Line 1 (again?)
- Arrive at Gwangmyeong
To me it looks like this is all I will need to do. However, I have been told I will need to take a bus or taxi to get to the KTX station.
Can anyone confirm what I will need to do?
Thanks so much. |

I used to live in Gwanmyeong and have used the KTX station you speak of. Gwangmyeong station *is* the KTX station. When you get there, just follow the signs to your platform, no need to leave the station or get a cab. |

The train from Geumchon-gu Office to Gwangmyeong is only every 30mins. Get a cab from Anyang/Gwanak to save time. Should be about w4000. Alternatively, a cab from Jungang in Ansan costs w15000. |

ticktocktocktick: thanks for the insight. Just out of curiosity why is it better to take a cab from Anyang or Gwanak and not from a closer stop like Seoksu or even Geumcheon-gu Office?
Thanks. |

Those two are the closest by road. I'd go for Anyang being a little better for you. |
