From my experience, Paxil (an SSRI) does not. |

If you search the forums for your particular brand of anti-depressant, I'm sure you'll find plenty of information on this topic. Or, you could search Erowid.
As for me, I actually did have Effexor false positive for a strong and illicit substance on the drug test here... but I went back, showed the doctor my prescription bottle and explained my situation, and didn't have a problem. |

for the SSRI i was on (Lexapro), no. in fact, i seriously wouldn't worry about it at all if you're taking any SSRI.
however, if it's any other type of anti-d, i really can't say. |

A recruiter told me that Zoloft will show up on the medical exam. They also told me that if you are hired by EPIK and if that happens, they will send you right back home without a second thought. Was this recruiter BSing me? |

Once again, it just doesn't work that way. The answer is yes, he was. |

And it also tells you the general attitude toward people with mental health problems here in Korea.
Your school would also have no problem terminating you if they found that you actually had a mental health problem (a fact that you have to disclose on the application).
Answer truthfully and you won't be hired. Lie and if it is discovered then you can be terminated for lying on your employment AND visa applications. |

Lovely. Be warned people-- this was actually one of the bigger recruiters who told me this.
Thanks for the info, ChilgokBlackHole. |

What mental health problem? The OP is being prescribed the drug off-label for seizures. |

"off-label for seizures" not what the post title says.
Post subject: Do anti-depressant/anti-anxiety meds show up...
and the question asked will be (taken from the most recent application and visa package):
[color=blue]3. Have you ever been treated by a doctor for any mental, emotional, or nervous disorder?
My guess is that seizures, epilepsy, depression and other related matters would be included in this catch-all question.
IF you answer YES then the job application WILL be refused (whether or not the rejection is valid is NOT the issue - just answering the question).
IF they are answered NO (a lie) then the applicant is subject to termination for lying on their employment and visa applications.

Sorry, I meant because of teeth grinding at night. Certainly not as an anti-depressant. On Wellbutrin? No, that's not Wellbutrin, it's Zyban. It's for quitting smoking. And on and on... |
