4bn is nowhere near the largest money laundering operation. That said, Swiss and other banking havens in Europe and elsewhere have long sheltered the stolen loot of dictators around the world. Singapore built herself with the stolen loot from Indonesia. Miami has long been a safe haven for South American and Russian thugs. Hundreds of billions all around the world.

Well this comes as no surprise whatsoever. This is precisely what the banking establishment deals in: slavery. They use made up credit to indebt and control the world's labor force and have everyone work for them, while they themselves produce nothing of value. The bankers also funded communism from the beginning...

The financial system has the power to cease global hunger. It has the power to create equitable societies. Yet, the controllers of it continually fail to provide for a war-free and hunger-free World.
You are right, there are players feeding off the bottom of the 4b. However, it is a symptom of a much larger problem. I think it is greed, others think it is in national security, others think it is about religion: but, instead of spending 2000 billion on war, how about 2000 billion on infrastructure in Africa, in the US and anywhere else that needs it??
In fact, I read that (working strictly to budget) it would cost 50b p/a to create an infrastructure that would end hunger on the African continent. That would be a miracle - yet that is all it would take. On the other hand, if it were actually implemented it would end up costing 3000b because it would be subcontracted to Halliburton.

Singapore didn't do the looting - Soeharto did.

Kim, Jong-il looted North Korea and he and his family will continue to do so until he is stopped.

Its time the UN tracked down his money stashed in Europe and confiscates it.

You're right. That doesn't change that Singapore benefited handsomely.

Kumbaya!!!

Of course in one way you're right, but on the other hand, everything I have learned about human nature would have to change overnight for this to happen. Resources will not be efficiently allocated to those who most need it. I work for something, I deem it mine, and I do not wish to give it up, except in return for something I want.

That is not an incorrect way of thinking. So, think of infrastructure spending in Africa as investment. By ceasing hunger & starvation, educating the populace, medicating the sick and the like is an investment by creating security.
Better to spend 50b that way than spending the same amount or more on aid, wars, relief funds et al.
The first is an investment, the second is throwing money into a hole.
