Lush is fantastic! I highly recommend the Angels on Bare Skin face wash especially for the hot & humid months. I've been using it 1-2 times a day for a few years now and my skin has never been better. If you have sensitive skin at all, their stuff is great because so much of it is organic.

Just be prepared to pay double what it costs back home or have it unavailable.

Gee Willikers! I'm glad I'm a dude. This is something I'd have so much trouble with if I were a girl. Too many options + me = exploding head.

Nah Bloopity Bloop. It's easy. You find one item you like and stick with it. I've been using the same stuff for years, and only changed to the Skin Food serum once here, because after trying a sample it felt just as good as the more expensive stuff I'd packed from home. I hardly ever use make-up, and this stuff works really well. I'll definitely be bringing bottles of the stuff as gifts for the females (and gay males) back home.

I'm a guy who tends to get a shiny forehead or nose and who'll get the occasional blackhead or whitehead. All I do is wash with some random drugstore face cleanser marked "sensitive skin" morning and night and that's pretty much it. Just noticed faint wrinkles around the eyes so should I start using a moisturizer? Any recommended brands?

How about eye cream? I tend to stay up late often so I should probably use something for that area. Thanks, ladies!

You could go more expensive, but I use a 27k won bottle of serum from Skin Food. It's got collagen, gold, and caviar, and works like a charm. Moisturizing is very important once you turn 25. Preventative care is key. I hardly ever wear make up, but this stuff keeps my skin perfect. I'm glad I didn't have to order the cream I was using from home. It cost a ton and shipping was ridiculous.

They make an eye cream version as well, but I usually just put a slice of cucumber on each eye at night for a few minutes. Clinique does make a decent under eye cream as well that isn't too costly.

So~

I am in the market for some awesome Korean skin care products. I am 25 so I believe (limited research) all I need is a good moisturizer? But I wouldn't mind going in for a whole set of fancy stuff~

I'm just unsure which brand to use. They all look sparkly and pretty to me so I'm lost! Have you ever purchased any in Korea? Which brand would you recommend, or which set or which whatever? Hehe

Thank you to anyone for any help you can provide~! Smile

i love 'nadri' moisturizer and find it better than SK2 and so much cheaper than SK2. give it a try!

I also recommend Lush, I worked there for a year here in the UK and they're amazing company and their skincare is incredible. I'm glad to hear they have shops in Korea, does anyone know how many or where they are? xx

Add me to the Lush fanclub. The stuff is pricey, but my skin has started glowing since I"ve been using it.

Have you ever bought that crazy yellow oil that smells like (and probably is a form of) Tiger Balm? You can get it in Thailand. The Thais say it's good for everything. I put it on my pimples and it's the only thing that seems to help. And I get to trip out on the aroma. But don't get it in the eyes.

Skinfood, Faceshop, etc. I think these are what we say drugstore brands.

They're a bit above drugstore brands. Probably more like Clinique (and other lower-end department store brands), as the prices are pretty much the same. I had an under-eye balm from Clinique that cost basically the same price as the stuff they sell at Skin Food. They both do the same job.

I don't know about their make-up, though. I stick to Bobbi Brown, Origins, and Benefit, on the rare occasions that I do wear any. I have to have the Origins eye stick (it's a cream shadow stick that has almost no color and is relatively natural) sent from home, though, because I haven't found it here.

wow there is so much good info in this thread~! hehe

I can't wait to try a lot of stuff~ None of this stuff prevents acne right? I've been using Proactive since forever but I'd like to kick it because I read that it may cause premature aging.

So my question is, how do you use products meant to make your skin awesome and young in combination with acne prevention? Do you use like 3 different washes and 5 moisturizers?! haha It's all so confusing >_<

I just ordered some Clean and Clear kit from GMarket so I can stop my Proactive. Any other ideas?

Thank you all again Smile

Sounds pretty nice, maybe I'll give it a try. I do have to be honest, I find 27k still quite expensive Embarassed I really am in a very tight spot right now financially and to spend 27k on cosmetics is a lot for me Sad However, I agree about prevention and I'll be happy I started young when I'm older. So is that Caviar Skin Food serum also anti-wrinkle or just moisturizer or both? I read if you start the anti-wrinkle routine early, it apparently does help later on.

Also, how long does one bottle last you?

Btw, I saw a documentary back home once that showed there isn't actually a difference between the (super) high-end brands and the cheapest no-brand ones you can find in the supermarket (this was about anti-wrinkle stuff). They mostly use the same ingredients and none of the brands were proven to give better results than others. I thought this was interesting as so many people (myself included) tend to believe that the more expensive sth is, the better the quality/results must be.
Personally, I'm just not willing to spend that much on cosmetics, esp. when it's not proven it really prevents anything.

Nice thread though, I might visit the Skin Food store before I go home next month^^
