Rootless Tree-- "extremely emotional and strong" and "swear word" alert.
Volcano--my favorite live music.
9 Crimes --also the best MV ever.
What a pity he is no longer with Lisa Hannigan. |
yes, but if he was we wouldn't have been treated to her album see saw and because he takes forever to make a bloody record, I for one, am glad she left him cos at least we got another mellow album while we waited for him to put a guitar in his depressed hands and write and record some music |

I agree with you <see saw> is a good album and they both have found themselves new partners, it's good to hear something different. But the glory that only belongs to "Damien+Lisa" has gone forever.
One reason I like them to be together is actually the "agony" and "resentment" their music gives me which I have rarely found in any others music. |

Who's this guy that keeps sending pms to random posters, to ask whether they want his piano album to be sent by email, for free?!!
He must be a pathetic, lonely, individual. Hey...wait a minute...that's me. |

I have my own music online as well, although it is a different genre (rock /electronica): http://keneckert.com/wabbit. Feel free to watch videos, download, or ignore this post totally.
Fromtheuk, make a web page and put your songs on it. Either make them one-minute samples or full versions. Make it as easy as humanly possible for people to access your music instantly without them having to go through hoops with PMs or e-mails.
I like what I do but I won't pretend my music is Radiohead, and so I want everything to be totally convenient for people. Keep it light! |

Guess what......I just found an email sent to me a while ago from GEPIK, with loads of email addresses of other GEPIK teachers.
Guess who has just received my new Piano album in mp3 format via email. |

Great, now you're a spammer. I take back anything nice I might have said about your music earlier. It is painfully ineptly put together and completely devoid of any redeeming qualities. |

I am not getting the joke. Maybe I am too old. I don't see the logic of badgering people with spam messages. How will this result in people seeking out and enjoying the OP's music? There may be ingenious ways of viral marketing a band. Being a pest is not one of them, I would think.
Not many of us have e-mail accounts which permit large groups of mp3 files to be sent. They will crash someone's account or take forever to download. If the OP sees this as somehow humorous that's fine. I'll only leave the thread by saying the obvious, that other musicians on Dave's probably shouldn't expect to win fans this way. |

On the above link you can listen to all 5 tracks from my album for free, plus 5 extra tracks which I think should have been on the album.
Just scroll down and you'll see all 10 tracks.
You can also see the artwork there too.
Please listen to 'I Love You 2', I feel it is the most epic of the lot.
Thanks. |

Since it's now for sale, aren't you breaking the TOS by advertising here? |

I doubt it. The tracks on jango's website are there to listen to for free. Any money earned is going to charity, so it's not like I'm pocketing anything. |
