Hey guys, I'm going to Jeju on May 20,21,22 and 23.
Firstly, is anyone else going?
Second, I'm having trouble deciding whether i should stay in the north, or the south.
I want to stay in the North close to the beach, and rent a scooter to rip it down to the south where the attractions are. but its about an hour ride and that could get pretty dangerous, especially at night.
In the north, i can get away with like 200$ for my hotel, but im looking at a minimum of 300$ in the south and a 40$ taxi ride each way.
anyone have any suggestions? i just want to relax, nothing too fancy. maybe udo for a bit, atving, but i just want to chill on the beach.
north or south? |

you and everyone else will be in Busan and Jeju at the beach. I will enjoy a nice emptied out(relatively) Seoul. I hear Seogwipo is the best btw |

I stayed in the Ramada in Jeju-si when I went there in july 2007, it was a nice hotel and did great food but the city has little to do in it during the day.
Oh and even though I paid about $600 for 4 nights there, I still had to pay extra to use the indoor and out door pool and their sauna area. |

there are some cheap pensions near jungmun beach on the seogwipo side. Near Gecko's. I suggest going there...I have no idea why anyone would pay so much money to stay at those other places. |

Stay in a 25,000 won love motel in downtown Seogwipo! and take a local bus anywhere on the island for under 5000 won. Really, there's no need to live the honeymoon expensive lifestyle prices you quote unless you wanna impress some girl or indeed are on a honeymoon.

It's going to rain all weekend. (And the air pollution everywhere in Korea sucks today with a haze from China - bad timing). I recommend you rent a car (even without a license, as they often don't check) and hit the many museums and beautiful drives, as even when rainy and hazy, there are some great vistas to be had by car both along the coast and around Halla.
Good luck whatever. |

I'm going there for vacation this Monday-Thursday. Cheaper is better for me -- ideas? And what about nightlife? I'm not a "clubber" but I would like some options. |

It's been a rainy holiday weekend. Didn't matter, because I stayed in playing Final Fantasy and cleaning my dirty room up. I saved money in the process for a more interesting future trip. |
