A few friends recently have asked me visa related questions. I don't need to jump through hoops anymore, so I stopped checking to see what the hoops are. I wanted to ask if a couple of things have changed in the last 2 years:
1 - Is an FBI CRC still OK to get a visa?
2 - Can you take the FBI CRC to the Embassy and get an affidavit of truth notarized, and have that work in place of a notary and apostille for the state level CRC?
3 - Is it possible to take your Diploma to the embassy, photo-copy it, make an affidavit swearing it's an original copy, and have the affidavit notarized? (Dunno if this ever worked, just wondering) |

1.) yes, it is certainly acceptable.
2) yes, you can still get it done that way.
3) no... apostille on the copy or the original. |
