This is pretty impressive.. we need more of this here as English teachers to help get rid of the stigma that we are mostly unqualified educators living here.

At least from my own personal experience (being a hagwon teacher for a year) this type of thing doesn't exactly pertain to what I've done. However, the message is really great, and the music is the bomb! Further, it should be mandatory for Korean middle or high school students all over the country learning English to check something like this out. |

Is that the norm? |

Meh, I think it depends on the university. A friend's uni has an average of 20 students. Also, my uni back home would charge an arm-and-a-leg to give the students an opportunity to have small classes. I had 8 years of 1-on-1 classes with one of my lecturers, for instance. But I paid for it...
Yeh, this music is Dope...

that's why I posted this, cause I knew there would be haters. I think he's doing a decent job, n I'd love to see more English teachers/foreigners living in Korea doing these sorts of things. I'd like to see you do better 'dansungsangnim'. |

They are kind of goofy.
Not really "interesting foreigners". Just some dudes that play a theme while filming themselves making mundane observations. Like Seinfeld meets Saved by the Bell but unfunny.
They should go in one direction and stick with it. Study? Talk about what the hell you are doing. Comedy? Then be funny.
These guys are a little better

Exactly my point. They made me vomit in my mouth and I had to go through the pain of swallowing it again. The first guys were dull. So dull my eyes started to bleed |

We just use whatever music we like at the moment. We listen to lots of weird stuff, and as soon as we find a song we like we make a note of it, and if we're making a movie we go over that list till we find one that fits...or sometimes we're inspired by a song and we make a movie to it, like our last video.
On a side note, our last video's song was by Caribou, who's coming to Korea on tour. |

No. I said the link you provided was horrid. The ones in the OP are much better. |
