Hi,
I was wondering if any of you guys from the forum have ever successfully managed to go home during a contract and find a temp replacement for your classes for a few weeks? I'm in a bit of a situation that I thought would be so much easier to resolve!

I found out recently i had to return home for university essay writing reasons that i dont want to go into, needless to say i lose a lot of money if i dont go back for a few weeks. I was 3 months into a contract when i gave my boss 2 months notice of the problem. he said if i find a foreigner to take my classes, then no problem. So after finding no Fvisa applicants, I accepted someone on a tourist visa. She then proceeded to buy a flight here before my boss (with about 3 or 4 weeks to go) suddenly brought up the visa issue. turns out he doesnt want the risk and i have to find E2 or F visas. I found someone else who wanted a C4 visa but he told me C4s arent for hagwons. Someone else wanted a C2 visa but i assume its the same. So finally i found someone with an E2 who wants to take over my classes permanently but my agency hasnt been in touch for several days and i have 2 weeks until my flight.

Now im running out of time, still looking for Fvisas, the tourist visa girl is my back up and i'm hoping my agency will process a switch with the E2 visa guy. In hindsight i should've just given 2 months notice to quit but thats hindsight for you.

This is a little off topic, but are you still looking for someone? If yes, what are the dates you need a replacement teacher? I am a F2 visa holder looking for substitute teaching jobs before I go to the US for a month in September.

Yeah i suppose i am, though i wasnt intending to find anyone on here. But i need someone from June 10th for atleast 5 weeks, preferably more like 8 or 9. If your visa will allow you to work at a hagwon for those weeks full time then by all means please email me your details. Its in changwon and my apartment is pretty nice and has a large tv etc. its near busan. i'll need a photo and some info about your experience etc. email address is [email protected] - hope to hear from you.
