Take a look at this. It's a page on the Seoul Tourism website and it shows you how to visit many tourist sites in Seoul like-
Gwanghwamun Plaza
Cheonggyecheon Stream
Deoksugung Palace
Seoul Museum of Art
Namdaemun Market
National Museum of Korea
and Itaewon

There are many details with pictures included. This should be very helpful for anyone who wants to see some of the most beautiful parts of Seoul.

I would recomend seeing this area when someone first arrives in Korea. But I do understand if people want to wait until Summer or Winter Break to see the sites. The good thing about this area is that you can be broke and still see many interesting things. Admission to most of the area museums are either free or less than 3,000 won.
Located in the general vicinity are the Seoul Museum of History,

the National Palace Museum,

the National Folk Museum, and

The Cheonggyecheon Stream.
