London, then going on package tour of France, Monaco, Italy, Vatican City, Switzerland, Netherlands, Germany, Belgium - 8 countries in 16 days! Leaving on 4th of July! Very Happy

that sounds like hell!!

It might be hell...don't know it until I go and it seems like a good deal, especially for Western Europe during peak season. I'm usually an independent traveller, preferring to book my own accomodations, itinerary, and modes of transport. Last summer, I travelled across Canada on my own for three months. The entire cost came to about $8,500-9,000 Cdn. for the entire three months. Now that's HELL!! Evil or Very Mad - and I stayed mostly in hostel dorm rooms and bought food from grocery stores. I figure this time around, I'll save some money by going on a packaged tour and letting someone else take care of the itinerary details.
