10 days ago - 1,000,000won = AUD $1030.00

then like usual 5 days ago 1,000,000won = AUD $985.00

then yesterday the won just went down heaps

its very unusual - but yesterday it just fell down to

1,000,000won = AUD $930.00

I have never seen it drop $55 in one day.

What happened in Korea yesterday to shake the market? (The Australian dollar has been stable)

Artficial de-valuation to keep Samsung junk cheap elsewhere and exorbitantly expensive here?

according to North Korean state-run media.
"Now that the puppet group challenged the DPRK [North Korea] formally and blatantly, the DPRK will react to confrontation with confrontation, and to a war with an all-out war,"

I love reading all the speculations on what this means. All it says is that if we confront them they will return it equally. If we attack them, they will counter attack with everything. Common sense dictates that if the South doesn't initiate anything, the North will chill, but then NK doesn't use common sense all too often

Hi There,

Before this happened the Australian Dollar suffered some devaluation.

So before the war story it was fine......
