|
|
Hi
I want to get one of those blinding silver suits. I don't want to pay too much but want it to last. Friends home need to see it ... a lot. ^^
Any advice on quality/where to shop? I found some on clearance at Lotte for 16man that were actually lined (so many aren't). The K-friend I was with said Lotte was probably best for quality. Thing is, 16man is the starting price at Dongdaemun. But are those crap?
Previously when checking out Itaewon tailors I haven't seen (at least on display) many/any shiny fabrics that's why I'm generally leaving them out of this.
Thanks |

I can offer you no advice...but I applaud the fact that you're going to buy a silver suit...you must, simply must complete the ensemble with a white shirt and pink tie. |

I bought a suit off gmarket for 100,000w. Quality was pretty good. The size was a little smaller than I expected though. If you go that route, order the suit slightly bigger than your size and then go to a dry cleaner and have them alter it to fit you. |

The shiny suits are mostly pre-fab deals that come from places like TNG Suit Gallery and the like. If you're Korean sized, go for it. |

I bought one for W50,000 at one of the fashion outlets at Gasan Digital Complex stn (lines 1/7). There's a few guys outside the first fashion building you come to. The suit is reasonable quality. |

Make that a slip on pink with small bedazzled jewels. |

You must also make sure the sleeves and pants are slightly too long and then wear them with black slippers. |

Wow, in America it would be labeled as looking very gay where people would actually think you are a gay pretty boy. Korean fashion wouldn't work in a Western work place if trying to put on a professional image. You might get away with it for formal dinner attire.
It appears the silver suit fashion says, "I'm a lean, fit, and highly polished business machine."

WOW. You seems to be the expert on all things gay.
Does that make you also gay? |

Not gay, but while growing up, all the boys would talk about what was thought of as being gay. I got these ideas in a conservative cultured small American town. I wouldn't wear this fashion, but if want to, more power to you. |

Besides the ironic joke factor and sheer comedy of it. Would a non-Korean seriously where a suit like that with a straight face?
If I saw a white guy wearing a suit liek that I would probably laugh out loud.
But being unique is cool, go for it. Be a clown. |

It happens. I hope he didn't pay too much or nothing at all. Atrocious. |
