Seriously, I've developed allergies to their evil chemical cleaner, and of course they would never change it, and of course it doesn't make anyone else sick. So, I'm going to work out outside and at home.

I've heard great things about Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred DVD. Do you think there's anywhere in Seoul I can purchase it (in English)? Thanks!

Not sure about the DVD, but why don't you check out www.scoobysworkshop.com. Great guy, very knowledgeable, and he explains how to do pretty much everything at home. Even shows you how to set up your own equipment with cheap materials.

Fantastic! I've actually become addicted to free weights, and wasn't super psyched about doing some girly DVD...

Hey, where can one get free weights in Korea? I'm thinking some kind of adjustable dumbell/plates system cuz isn't the point of free weights to increase weights regularily?

I've seen adjustable dumbbells at E-mart/Homeplus, and sometimes they have benches and other stuff like that. It all seems pretty over-priced though. I know there are some specialty shops for weights/treadmills and the like, but I'm not sure about their prices. Best to have a Korean co-worker/friend help you out with that... Maybe GMarket has something? I'm sure someone else on here will be able to supply more info.

Good luck.

Here is something that is free:
http://www.bodyrock.tv/
She usually posts 3-4 workouts a week. They require minimal equipment (chin up bar, chair and some strange dip contraption which I don't have but you can make yourself). Most of the workouts are a mix of cardio and bodyweight exercises. They only take 12-30 minutes. Working out to her makes me motivated to eat right and stay active. She also gives advice for eating (clean eating and small portions 5-7x a day) and the occasional recipe here and there.
If you want JM shred, try pirate bay ( I downloaded it last year from Mininova when it was still around).

Awesome guys, thanks Very Happy

It's good to know there's a variety of ways to stay fit, even while avoiding the gym of chemical death:

-home weight routines
-Bodyrock
-workout DVD downloads .. Smile

I'm intrigued by the Bodyrock because it seems to offer a variety of interesting workouts... Keeping the "muscle confusion" going
