I am leaving for Korea in a few hours, and I am trying to check-in, but the website won't allow me. I am flying United - they say I need onward ticket or return ticket. However, I only have a one-way ticket.

I have my E-2 visa stamped in my passport... is this good enough?

When I went to the airport with my SECOND visa, the skirt at the check-in desk starts giving me lip about it only being a one-way ticket and that I can't go on.... so I flash the visa at her face. That clammed her up finally.

So it's probably that it's a oneway ticket that's a problem. wait 'til you get to the airport. that otta do.

now the question becomes whether you'll see this respose in time. Cool

Yea, I have a one-way ticket....

but my E2 is stamped in my passport..... i guess with that i will be alright.

Though, now Korean Air is not letting my check-in.

Something about my Skypass name and Passport name don't match....

You'll be fine. I had a similar problem when I first came over with KLM, the Dutch airline. The woman at check-in refused to let me board despite my insistence that I had a visa. The manager eventually came and told me that he would let me on the plane but that Korean immigration would turn me away and that I would be liable for the $2000 return flight.

Needless to say there were no issues with immigration Smile

Yes, you'll be fine with that E-2 visa in your passport flying one way. When I checked in at my home airport, the agent documented my visa stamp to allow me to go on a one way flight. I'm not sure I would've been allowed to fly one way without visa, because when I presented my one way ticket, the first thing asked, "Do you have a visa?"

Keep in mind that I am flying from America ... if that makes any difference.

online check-in?

Why not just go in person, it's like a 3 minute process, 5 if you have to pay extra for more luggage. You can show the visa in the passport then.
