Obviously Korea is a wonderland for cigarette smokers. Few anti-smoking laws like in North America, a huge selection of brands, and dirt cheap prices.

While those hooked on Camels, Newports, or another American brand may be forced to switch loyalties here, there seems to be a brand with a flavor for any smoker.

I'm wondering what everyone's favorites are. Personally I alternate between Bohem Cigar No. 6 and Hoopa. I like the full leaf cigar tobacco of the Bohems and the 100% whole tobacco of the Hoopa.

Timeless Time is my personal favorite.
I also like the Bohems, but they make you smell like smoke a lot quicker than the average cigarette.

I don't think that I've ever seen Koreans smoke a pipe. Can you get pipes and Korean pipe tobacco here? Is it much more expensive than getting it in North America or Europe?

It's odd that cigarette smoking is so common here but pipes and cigars are so uncommon.

I'm going to be honest...I think Korean cigarettes suck compared to American ones. I hope I'm to dissing anyone!

I tried This plus, marlboro, parliament, raison, mild seven, the one, esse, dunhill and probably some other ones that I forgot about. I used to smoke marlboro or parliaments back at home, but the taste and I guess nicotine content throws off the enjoyment of cigarettes here.

They are really cheap here and that's what I like. Anyone have any suggestions? At the moment, I am smoking mild sevens as the best of the rest. I am trying to quit, haha.

I became fond of Esse Lights-uh when I was there. When I got home two things happened:

a) a friend said ``stop smoking those f@@king fag smokes!``

b) when I bought regular North American brands it was like I was smoking something the size of a sausage.

If you want a higher nicotine content, try the brand THIS, I think they're 1mg nicotine smokes. Pine Lights are also 0.9mg smokes as are Carnival Full Flavor, though I can't comment on how any of them taste.

I've tried Raison Reds and Esses and didn't care for either.

I was only a casual smoker back in the US but my favorites there were Camels and Lucky Strike.

I like Time. Last occasion I took up smoking in Korea I stuck with Marlboros, though. What I really would've liked is Player's Light in non-king size.
