We are getting married in South Korea. We would like to buy our wedding rings here. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Sure, I would suggest going to a store that sells rings, and buy 2 that you guys like, one for a man, and one for a woman.

Hope My suggestion is helpful Smile

Go to the Gold district in Jongno.

Make sure you visit multiple stalls and haggle the prices down.

Well honestly what Pearls of wisdom were you expecting with such a hopelessly vague question

Korea is a big place, where do you live for starters?

What advice do you want?

Style, Cut, LOcation of a Good shop, Designer, price?

You could want cheap rings with pictures of Pebbles and Bam Bam, for all we know

Given that my better half posted this after a couple of bottles of wine and I replied with a hangover, pearls of wisdom were at least quiet and somewhat amusing.

In the countryside, away from a subway line. About 30 minutes bus ride from Suwon.

Diamonds would be nice for a start. Her actual engagement ring is very old (compared to me at least) and has been in her family for a while. Something made here would be great. Buying it for under a $1000 US would absolutely make my day (for hers at least).
We thought buying rings here would give it a nice touch and give us some possibility of getting something no one back in the US has.

Yeah while that might be nice for some. I don't think that would go down all that well with the American family (from the South) I'm marrying into. Smile

Any help is appreciated. Pearls of wisdom too.

I was always under the impression that the engagement ring was the fancy-schmancy (or at least expensive) one, and that wedding rings were typically boring bands of gold. Claim tradition, save money!

Boring has never been me though Smile
As far as money is concerned to me, it's meant to be spent. I'll save later on.
Just looking for something nice for my better half.
