I'm looking for some England fans to share the World Cup with. I have plenty of friends here but they're either not into footy or from a different country and the thought of jumping around in a bar on my own when we put 5 past the USA doesn't feel right.
In and around Seoul, where will you be watching the matches? |

From the looks of your last match, the only way you will be scoring any goals is if the US kicks them in for you. |

England fans are so negative and pessemsitic that they're already holed up someone crying and moaning about yet another World Cup failure. Good luck on your quest. |

Haha. Usually, England fans and soccer pundits in England talk up their chances at tournaments, only to be let down by stunningly incompetent performances on the pitch. After seeing the shower of shite that played against Japan, it's hard to say that we can be world beaters. |

My analysis is this. England usually just do enough to beat a team. If it's a bad team then they'll do enough to beat them and if it's a good team they'll step up a level and do enough to beat them. This explains why we often don't hammer rubbish teams. When it comes to competitions we are rarely beaten outright in open play. Usually what happens is we draw against the very best and then get beaten on penalties.
If you look at the qualifying campaign it's hard not to be impressed and if you think the Japan game is seriously anything to go by when it comes to the big occasion, then you need to have a word with yourself.
I've no bigger expectations than any other years, let's just see what happens.
Have you ever seen what happens the game after Man Utd or Chelsea lose? Yes, the other team get annihilated! Are dress rehearsals meant to go well? England not playing so good against Japan? All sounds good to me |

England friendlies are always crap anyway. I rarely watch them and then you cant place any importance in them whatsoever anyway. It's just something for the press and people who dont know that much about it all to get excited about.
The other day Holland went 1-0 down to Hungary and it took them some time to pull it back to a 6-1 win. I believe they were 1-1 at half-time. If it were England you'd have a major crisis on your hands based on that poor first half display.
The best of the players there have played probably close to 50 games each this year so you dont want them to be running around trying to hammer Japan. Theyre just trying to get an idea of how to play against different teams and working out how best ot go about things. |
