I just got an email from my recruiter that I have a confirmed POE (Gyeonggi!!) and that my NOA should be sent "shortly". While I have no clue what that actually means, she also gave me the dates for the orientation.

It runs from August 18-25, and we are supposed to arrive on the 17th. I know that earlier there were two different orientations, so I don't know if they will do that again or if they have different dates.

Now it is time to start preparing for the 20+ hours of travel....

How long ago were you notified that your docs were being sent from EPIK to your locations of choice? I was notified that mine were sent off to Seoul on May 19th... Thanks.

Well done! Let's hope this is a sign that things are moving on now. 2.5 months to go, so I hope so with airline tickets and visas and whatever to arrange.

Does anyone know if there are different dates yet? My recuriter says the 19th or 20th and the 17th is a big difference to me.

This is the info i got from my recruiter, however they said Gyeonggi is still tentative as their schedule and there is a possibility this may change as EPIK has not finalized the venues for the orientation just yet.

Tuesday August 17th: Seoul

Wednesday August 18th: Busan, Daegu, Daejeon, Gwangju, Ulsan, Jeonbuk, Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam

Thursday August 19th: Incheon, Gangwon, Chungbuk, Jeju

Thursday August 19th, Tuesday August 31st & Wednesday September 1st: Gyeonggi

Wow, you found out about the orientation already? My recruiter has not said anything to me about it! I got an email from EPIK about 2 and half weeks ago saying that I was a successful applicant and congratulations, but I haven't heard anything else. Anyone else having that problem?
I am starting to feel nervous!!!

don't get nervous or sweat it. They make all the arrangements last minute. Get used to it. It is how Korea rolls.

Yeah dont be nervous, I got the same email as well from EPIK saying I was successful. Only reason I got this info from my recruiter was because I asked them directly. She also stated that there is a small risk it might change as its not 100% finalized but as it stands now this should be the how the orientation should be set up.

I put the confirmed schedule up for Aug's locations in the Epik group on EFL Classroom .

I'll be presenting as usual, on educational technology. Also, a handy peak there at the materials to be covered. Hopefully, you'll all be notified shortly or have been, about the online materials to complete prior to orientation.

Hello,

I'm wondering when to buy tickets for the Jeonju orientation . My recruiter is urging me to wait in case EPIK changes something I don't want to wait until tickets are crazy expensive.

Does anyone know if EPIK picks us up at the Incheon Airport and how long they will wait. I may get a flight to arrive at 7 and I'm wondering if that's too late.

And how do we get to Jeonju?

Any help would be much appreciated!
