I just got a new phone and I am trying to set it all up. My computer will display korean on web pages with no problem. When I plug in the phone to install it, all of the writing is just nonsense. I am assuming the computer is having trouble displaying hangul or something. Is there something I need to install in order for my computer to read the hangul properly?

I have windows vista.

Thanks

I don't have any experience with Vista, but with XP you have to install support for East Asian languages. It's in "Regional and Language Options" in the control panel.

I'm thinking you'll have to set the non-unicode programs to Korean.

Usually this though even still you might get the odd program that tosses garbage characters.
