I got a job offer in*Location : Gaegeum(green line, subway#223) which is near Seomyeon, the downtown.
I was wondering if anyone could tell me how far it is from SeomYeon or KSU or any other popular places?
I don't want to accept a job at a place and then discover its actually 30 mins away from all the main night life.
Thanks! |

From Seomyon : 10 minutes by Bus, less by Subway
From KSU: 30 minutes by subway (maybe less)
About Gaegum...it is mostly a residential area. Its not a nightlife district but since the subway expanded there a few years ago it became far easier to get around. In fact you can get to PNU easily as well with one subway line transfer.
By the way, 30 minutes from nightlife is not a bad thing....I do not see why you would need to be closer unless you need to go out every night.
If thats the case, look for work in Seomyeon, Kyungsung Dae, PNU....
Seems like a silly reason to choose a job however..but hey to each his own.
Oh and Seomneyon is but ONE downtown-like areas in Busan. You also have very busy areas with heaps of things to do like Kyungsung Dae, PNU, Dongnea, Gwanganli, Haeundae...then you have other areas with decent shopping or activities like Centum City or Nampodong.
All on the subway network....
What shoudl be important is not the commute to the watering hole but rather the commute to work no? |
