I also felt that if ATEK had their way, E-2 workers would get the same rights as an F-2 visa holder, but we all know Kimmigration doesn't work that way. F-2 visa holders would get the same crap as E-2. Is it fair? No, but this is the way it is. Let's not complain that it's raining. It doesn't change a thing.

First Impressions are king, and I was against ATEK from the beginning. I suspect many others felt the same way. Then there was this Tony guy (I forgot what he did) and Stephannie White was running for ATEK president.

Those things don'tdo much for the credibility of an organization trying to get off its feet.

Even if ATEK had succeeded initially (do not see how) E2 visa holders would not have had the same rights as F-visa holders for the simple fact that one visa (E2) is an employment visa and the other (F) is a residency visa....

Well, now you've heard of several.

Several?

So that leaves one foreign English teacher mentioned in the media who was convicted of rape (in 2002 or earlier), three who were arrested for molestation, one who was cleared, and one who is mentioned as having been fired.

Yes several.

Mr. Troglodyte stated that he hadn't heard of a single English teacher being charged with abusing a child in Korea.

We have three who were arrested (so they would be charged), we have one who was convicted of rape (obviously he was charged as well) and one who was cleared (he would have to be charged first to be cleared)

That's five right there...so several.

Nor is this an exhaustive list.

Scroll to the bottom and click on the links to the other articles.

OK. I've now heard of several who were charged and one who was convicted. I learn something new each day.
