My Web server expects me to know how to edit a Website using an FTP.
It seems like I'm the only person in the human race who wasn't born knowing that information through instinct.

I live in the Gwangju area but I could meet you any place.

you need ftp software

get something standalone like core or see if theres something that integrates with your browser.

if you dont know html either use something like wordpress or indexibit or pay someone to do it but html+css are very easy to learn. look at w3schools

Some servers have an FTP program within their admin panel when you log in. If you can't find it, you can use a program to do it for you (like Transmit for the Mac, for example).

All it does is transfer a file from your computer to your server. Like, on your computer, if you move a file you downloaded to your picture folder. With an FTP, you can move a file from your picture folder to your web server.

Does that help kinda?

find the documentation for your software and read it.

you need to put your server/UID/passwd in and maybe the port

then push and pull files to and from client and server

easy stuff

What software are you using, if you don't mind me asking?

You need the username and password of your server. Enter that into your FTP software. If you do it correctly, it should show you the folder contents of your server. Then simply drag the html files into the proper folder on your server.

You don't copy code onto FTP software. FTP (File Transfer Protocol) software will let you connect to the web server where you drop the html file.

You can edit html code with Notepad if you are on Windows.

Like most before have pointed out, FTP is an acronym for File Transfer Protocol. It's just a way to move your html files from your computer to their server. Newer FTP software functions much like Windows Explorer, just login to your service provider's FTP server and you should see some directories where you can drag and drop or copy and paste your html files to. Older software might require you to use a command line interface.

I think you may need to edit the site first, then use the FTP for transferring it. I use word or notepad, then use Fetch as an FTP client.

1. Get your FTP details. If you don't know these, ask your host.

You will need: FTP address, FTP username, FTP password and port number.

2. Get a program, such as Filezilla and install it.

3. Enter your FTP details into Filezilla.

4. Transfer your HTML files from your local computer onto the web server.

OR...

1. Get your FTP details.

2. PM me your FTP details and email me the files you want to upload and I'll take a screen capture of the process so you can do it for yourself in future.

I have Core FTP Lite.
I tried the tutorial which Underwaterbob suggested,
but I can't understand it.

I don't understand, if the process is so simple that everybody else can understand it,
then why can't I find a single person in all of Korea who can meet with me and show me the process?

Well, that's not a very inviting way of asking for help. I don't live anywhere near you. Want to shuffle on down to Chungju for ten minutes so I can show you how to type in a number, a username and password and drag and drop some files?

Try this:

http://lifehacker.com/148523/quick-and-easy-ftp-client

It's about as simple as it gets.

Sure.
Only 충주 is north of where I live.
Like I said in my original post, "I could meet you any place."
Was that a rhetorical question or an offer?

I'm not trying to be a dick or anything, but as others have said it's a pretty simple process. I'm not familiar with core, but most ftp clients have a simple connect option. Click connect and a dialogue box should pop up. Enter the relevant info there and click connect. Then copy your files onto the server.

EDIT:
