Hello!

Like most I've been noseying around the forum for a while now and finally decided to join up! I'm female, 23 and live in England.

I've just gotten a job offer in Geochang, which is great as my friend who has been in S Korea for a month now lives there and loves it. I don't have much more detail about the school yet, as they are still trying to arrange my arrival date (they want a teacher ASAP, but I can't travel until the end of July...)

I'm currently excited and anxious in equal amounts, so hopefully chatting to people here will help push me more towards the excitement side of things!

So, hello :]

Hello! Oh wow - I'm from Doncaster, and have family in Leeds!

Where abouts in Korea are you going then?

I may also have my date set - I said soonest I can go is July 23rd and they said that's okay! Just got my phone interview, possibly tomorrow.

Also seem to have resolved a few things that were worrying me, so getting more excited now! :]

Hello, I'm also English and live in one of the neighbouring counties to Geochang. Never visited Geochang though have been through the area on journeys elsewhere, and the scenery looked quite nice.

I'm going to a place quite close to Gwangju. Never been there before, but it seems pretty cool. I was in Cheonan last year for four months, so I kind of know what to expect when I arrive but I still have a lot of learning to do.

I'm pleased to hear that you're a Yorkshire lass Smile In my opinion Korea focuses way too much on the North American accent.... it needs more people like us to go and teach 'em Yorkshire!

Have you done teaching before then?

If you are reading these forums alot, remember that some people here are very helpful. However, others come here to vent and complain and try to rain on your parade. For the most part, this is a helpful and knowledgeable site
