I'm planning on going home for about 3 months and was wondering...Does anyone know if there is a maximum amount of time a person can be outside of Korea if on an E2 visa? I heard from one person that if you are gone for more than 30 days you have to get some kind of extension.
Whats the truth? I 'can' handle the truth. |

Maximum time is the expiry date on your E2.
CAVEAT:
You can only extend or renew it while you are IN Korea so when it expires it expires and you need a new one if you are abroad.
As long as your have a valid MULTI re-entry permit you are fine.
SINGLE re-entry permits have expiry dates.
