I have 3 huge windows, 2 of which are a problem in the mornings. The sun coming through is only getting worse as the days go on.

I have looked at E-mart and its really expensive for the size curtains I would need. I really don't feel like spending over $100 on some curtains.

They are 180cm tall and 120cm wide. If anyone could give me some good ideas, I would appreciate it.

Also, I live in Cheonho and if you tell me about a place, I'll need pretty specific instructions as I have only been here for a short time.

Thanks!

i used to live in an apartment with a big ass window and i actually just used a heavy and ark colored blanket. you could probably get a few blankets to hang up over your windows for way less than $100

my school ordered some for me online. same pretty much as i was seeing at costco but only 60,000 rather than 100,000 plus. it is very annoying that apartments dont come with curtains.

who ultimately paid for the curtains - you or the school?

I did. And I'll be taking them with me! I'll fashion a cape out of them and go out for a night drinking with them before I'll let them have them.

There should be a market somewhere in that town of yours that sells bamboo blinds. They're cheap, they do the job, and they'll give your place a little tropical ambience.

I cut open some cardboard boxes to fit tight in my windowsills (as a temporary solution). Worked so well I'll keep using them until Fall.

I did try to order curtains off the internet from the Ikea store. Went something like this:
- find blackout curtains - order
- get reply out of stock
- find next best curtains - order
- try to use Korean bank credit card to pay
- cannot use , missing some registration
- try to pay by online bank transfer
- cannot use , more than one year since last transfer
- go to bank and pay (with 3000 won fee)
- get reply that curtains are too big to deliver?!?
- get refund minus the 3000 won transfer fee
- give up and cut out cardboard to put in window
