i have KB Bank.. Kookmin Bank is the full name i think.. anyways, it costs W15,000 to wire money at the bank, but after you wire money the first time, you can do it yourself at the ATM under Overseas Remittance.. then it costs either W5,000 or W6,000.. its been a few months.. can't remember which

I sent money through an ATM recently at KB. It was 6,000won I think, but then I got hit by a $25 charge from somewhere else (probably my home bank). I didn't bother calling the home bank as my bank is clueless 80% of the time.

I used KEB (Korea Exchange Bank) and they charge either 6000W or 8000W
(I cant remember which) to wire money home.

My bank at home (Schwab Bank) doesnt charge anything for incoming transfers.

"Phantom Bank", however, charges me $19 Evil or Very Mad

KEB charges walk in customers 18,000 Won.
One charge of 10,000 and another of 8,000.

If you are only paying 6 or 8,000 you are very lucky

I just transferred money online with Keb, sent $150 CAD back, I received $140 ($10 fee at my home bank)
no mysterious in the middle fee this time. it was my first time doing it online.

Keb's online fee was exactly 8000W.

Kookmin doesn't allow international transfers.

You're right I should try to bank online.

I have managed to send money OS once using their online system but
every time since my 'security certificate' has been rejected and I got too frustrated and just visited the bank.

If it will save me 10,000 then I will have them issue a new certificate and go through all the B.S again.

Cheers

So is Kookmin bank not capable of doing international wire transfer to the US? Because I have Kookmin bank (KB). I thought it did, that is why I set up an account with them. Dayum. T^T

KB allows international transfers. I would think all banks do it.
