Hey, I'm sure this is a non-issue but I thought I would run it by people here. I'm going to be receiving a BS (4 year degree) from my college. It's not officially a university, it's only referred to as a college. It's part of a state-wide university system. This degree should be ok for applying for teaching jobs in Korea, right? It's a 4 year Bachelor's, not a 2 year or anything. It doesn't HAVE to be from a university, right? Thanks. Very Happy

If it's a bachelor's degree from a native English-speaking country, and it's accredited, it'll fly.

I know that the UK, Australia, etc. make a big distinction between "college" and "university" but many countries don't. Korea doesn't. It's all "daehakgyo" in Korea (4+ years). The next step down in Korea is jeonmundaehak (usually two years) and that's not what you are. I think you'll be fine.

One of my friends taught in Korea and she went to University of King's College. However, it is officially part of Dalhousie University I think. I'm sure you will be fine!
