Hello all,

Who is taking probiotics? What is the name of your probiotic and where did you get it from (Yak-gook, Homeplus, E-mart, etc)?

I'm not sure that's something to worry about, as long as your vaccinations are up to date.

That said, you can get active yogurt anywhere.

...wait, what? I mean, who is actively taking things like lactobacillus, etc, and what are the Korean names of the brand you're using?

Whoa, buddy, I was just trying to answer your question, no need for that hostility. I'll exit the thread now, but just remember that there was a time people just ate yogurt for their lactic acid cultures.

Hi There,

Had a terrible time trying to find them in Korea. Eventually ordered them online. They are in the gut drinks and Bulgaris has both pre and pro biotics.

I am sure some place in seoul would sell them by now.

http://probiotics.co.kr/xe/ there might be some info where to buy it. Also you could just type it naver since it is the same in Korean and would be way more helpful.

Besides that yes you could just eat yogurt. You might even find that on naver too.

Swanson vitamins sales probiotics online and ships here, much cheaper than you can buy in Korea, even with shipping cost, but do not order more than six bottles of vitamins etc at one time, because customs will charge you and /or hold your order. Korean viatimins are the highest priced in the world according to an article in Korea Times a while back.

My wife and I make sure we drink bottled water, and once every six months, after after a couple of months in the Philippines, do a probiotic for a month. We also make our own yogart and eat kimichi, both which are natural probiotics and better for you than supplemental probiotics for maintaining good bacteria once your body is where it needs to be bacteria wise.
