Anyone know if that 2nd international clinic is still open in Itaewon?
It was on hooker hill across from the goldfish bar above 7/11.
Supposidly it was very cheap and profesional, but I havent seen it mentioned in awhile.

Confirmed they're still open. Very quick procedure (10 min from the time I walked in until the time I left, and results the next day), highly recommended. The info from the other thread:

There is a 2nd international clinic in Itaewon which is not expensive. It's located a floor or two above the 7/11 convenience store (I think it's 7/11) and directly across from Goldfish bar in Itaewon, in the hooker hill area.
To get there, find the Itaewon police station (just outside of the subway) and keep walking 30m past Starbucks until you get to the intersection. Hang a right. Walk 20m, and you'll be standing in front of Goldfish bar. You'll see the 7/11 on your left across the street. Look up a few floors from that for this little hold-in-the-wall clinic.
I was planning a podcast on this, and probably still will during break when I have more time. Everyone keeps asking about STD info on Dave's.
There are two main tests you can get for STD's there. One is the general-purpose one that catches the basics, like HIV, Chlamydia, Syphillis, Gon., etc. That will run you something like 30,000 won. They have you pee in a cup and/or take some blood. They can also do herpes tests very cheaply for like another 50,000 won for both 1 and 2. These are not covered under health insurance. If you show no evidence of Herpes, then just get the 30,000 won test. Your samples are sent out to a very respected lab in Seoul, so don't feel worried that the clinic is sort of like stepping into 1960. The doctor speaks English. They handle a LOT of STD-related testing there. I believe he said results take 1 to 3 days.
My family has a genetic blood-clotting problem that I have to watch for. I get a blood test done there about every 6 months. Very affordable. |

I went to this clinic for a check-up and screening and they were quite helpful. Some more information that you might find helpful (esp. people commuting to Seoul, as I was).
Phone: 02 792 5551, 792 5552
email: [email protected]
Hours: Later than you think. I don't remember exactly but like 9-7 M-F and (the kicker for a weekend visit, you don't have to get up early): 10-3 (or was it 8 - 3)?
They're the only clinic I've heard of open that late on Sat.
Great place, cheap and professional, Dr. has a good command of English. |

Costs 50,000 won now for the general test. Looks very 1960ish but Dr. Wie speaks English and doesn't seem like a shyster. |

Went there last winter for a very sore throat infection. Dr. took my blood pressure and listened to my breathing. Never once looked in my throat. Go figure. |
